The Seedling

This excerpt from Paul Lawrence Dunbar's The Seedling is dedicated to Herbert Martin, a teacher who embodies the essence of poetry.

The Seedling:

"Little folks, be like the seedling,
Always do the best you can;
Every child must share life's labor
Just as well as every man.

And the sun and showers will help you
Through the lonesome, struggling hours,
Till you raise to light and beauty
Virtue's fair, unfading flowers."

Meme(s) are fun. They are really just a way to get to know one another on the same topic. This one, the one Literacy Teacher tagged you for, is about teaching. Look at each of the 10 points and then answer the way you feel. Then if you can find others to tag (I didn't tag anyone because I don't know anyone left!)then you put it in their comment section. It really is a fun way for all of us to get to know one another better. I look forward to reading your teaching meme!!!!!
