Poetry Tuesday? (Written last Friday)

This Stone Wall

Five layers deep

Awakened from sleep

Fragile cracks

For so long

In this secret garden

Transplanted from England into

this obscure spot

tucked ‘neath the alley and pine

waiting for ivy to spill in its cracks

fungus and mossy with lime

Will children adorn you with lace of Queen Anne

My hope is that fairies be found

Inbetween and beneath

All the creatures will creep

Until blossoms jump forth all around.
