It was unseasonably warm today in west Michigan. Its now dark - at 6:00. Sigh. November, December, January, February, March. Five months of darkness at 6:00. Why does it seem that each year daylight savings surprises me? When, I'm out, driving my children here and there, the fall colors seem to be bolder than usual. Am I looking more closely, or is it just an amazing fall? Now, I can't see my tree from my living room writing spot. Faintly, the sound of a lawn mower hums in the black. The light was just starting to get interesting. How can I pay attention in the darkness?
